  23. This intro is played four times.  I've found that if you run an acoustic
  24. guitar through an amp and use some mild distortion, it recreates the sound
  25. on the album pretty well.

  28. VERSE:  The verse is basically just a cycle of Em and D (--0230).  There
  29. is a two-note plucking pattern before the strumming cycle, though, that
  30. goes like this:

  40. Each of these cycles is one bar [in 4/4 time] and the pick-up is played in
  41. every cycle.  I know this might sound confusing, but listen to the song,
  42. and you can hear the two-note plucking.  (Note that the D is not a true
  43. D...I just don't know the real name for that chord).  Also, when strumming
  44. the D, try to use upstrokes as much as possible because it seems to sound
  45. better that way.

  71. During the short solo, you just repeat the verse pattern.  
  72. During the long solo, you repeat the verse pattern, but toward
  73. the end, you double the cycle (i.e.-instead of playing Em/D [two chords]
  74. in one bar, you play Em/D/Em/D [four chords] in one bar).  The end of the
  75. long solo section ends on an A.
